"Crying Fred" is a book of photography, texts, and collages, all dealing with heavy feelings such as loneliness, depression and death.
The book is accompanied by a series of mixed media content (see videos below) that offer an additional insight into the character and the journey showcased by him.

Loneliness and anger

It’s a harsh reality to realise that you feel lonely when surrounded by people. Emotions are bubbling up. You’re sad, then you’re angry, and the cycle repeats.
This thing cannot be trapped, no matter how much you’ve tried.
DEATH AND ENVY

Look at everybody else! Look at how much fun they’re having. Even more important, it is without you.
Let yourself befooled by this mirage and indulge in your worst crutches and behaviours.
SADNESS AND ANXIETY
Song: Charli xcx, bb trickz - Club classics
The thoughts are flooding in a cacophony of noises. It’s the noise you cannot stop and everything seems to be happening at once.
Sadness and anxiety harmonize to stage a tormenting play in which you are the main actor. The exit door is locked though.
